I'll never sell the sax due to its sentimental value, but the student instruments (which is all it can be considered as) of that era have been completely overtaken by better modern saxes. For ease of communication, Ill refer to the instruments by Bueschers model numbers. A decent Taiwanese sax like an Elkhart Series 2 or a md range Jupiter would be better again. The log book shows the serial numbers jumping around quite a bit for the Selmer/Adolphe Sax saxophones. As supplied the pads were lousy and the springs pretty poor. Instruments manufactured after 1936 range in serial number from 1350-3600. The build quality is poor, and the keywork is pretty crude. I've kept the sax out of, frankly, sentimental reasons. It was my first sax, bought for me by my generous parents when I was 15.
